For the past 8 years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching esthetics at MC College. My favourite part of the job is sharing my passion for the beauty industry with future estheticians. And watching their confidence grow. i’m extremely passionate about lifelong learning, especially when it comes to skincare, and I love being able to bring that excitement to the classroom every day. Helping students build the skills and confidence to succeed is what makes this career so rewarding.

I have been with MC College for 10 years, and during that time I’ve had the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. I have been given numerous opportunities for professional development travelling to Toronto, Denver and Chicago for courses that helped me grow in my role. I started as a Hairstyling Instructor and now I am the Senior Advisor for Instructional Quality and Mentorship. Being able to support both new and experienced instructors and collaborate with so many talented people is one of the most rewarding parts of my career.

MC College has been a part of my life since I graduated from the Hairstyling program in 1992. Over the past 30+ years, the college has provided me with incredible opportunities to grow both personally and professionally. I began my career as a hairstylist before transitioning into an instructor role in 1996, where I spent ten years mentoring and inspiring future professionals. While teaching, I pursued a Human Resource Management degree, and upon graduating in 2008, MC College gave me the opportunity to begin a new career in Human Resources.

Since then, I have progressed from Human Resources Administrator to Human Resources Manager and now Human Resources Director. What I value most about MC College is its commitment to developing people and recognizing potential. The organization has supported me through multiple career paths as a stylist, educator, student, leader, and HR professional and has continually provided opportunities for growth. My passion for the beauty industry and my appreciation for MC College have only strengthened over the years, and I am proud to be part of an organization that changes lives through education.
