Apprenticeship Training:
MC College is contracted by Alberta Apprenticeship Industry and Training to deliver the 10-week Technical Training program for Hairstylist Apprentices. Apprentices must be registered with Alberta Apprenticeship and Industry Training to participate in program. Successful completion will lead to Journeyman Certification.
First Period Apprenticeship (350 hours)
Classes are from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday.
Topics include; consultations, haircutting, styling, tapers, fades, hot shaves, and scalp treatments. Apprentices will complete First Period theory and practical exams at the end of the 10 weeks.
Second Period Apprenticeship (350 hours)
Classes are from 8:30 to 4:30 Monday to Friday.
Topics include; styling, perms, chemical relaxers, and hair coloring. Apprentices will complete the Second Period theory and practical exams at the end of the 10 weeks.
