Kyle Friesen, Hair Design Instructor
Kyle has been a part of the MC College team since 2010. He has a passion for photo shoots, fashion shows and competition. Kyle's role as a trainer for the North American Hairstyling Awards resulted in a student finalist in 2010. Kyle was inspired by Toni & Guy in Canada and Australia, where he developed his skills as a stylist, manager and leader. He has completed numerous advanced styling and product knowledge classes including Brocato Smoothing Treatment, Artego and long hair styling. Kyle is currently enrolled in the Instructor Development Program at Red River College. |

Stevi Knight, Hair Design Instructor
Stevi has been with MC College since 2008. She has several years experience as a Hairstylist and a Customer Service Specialist. Stevi has attended classes for salon product knowledge and client building techniques. She takes pride in managing her responsibilities to assist students in achieving their career goals and developing their practical and customer service skills. |

Peter Derksen, Hair Design Instructor
Peter has been an instructor with MC College since 2009. He has been a licensed stylist for over 20 years. Peter has worked as a platform artist for Joico and has also been a product demonstrator for Kasho Shears. Peter spend most of his salon career with the Aura group in Winnipeg before choosing to go into education. Peter loves sharing his passion and experience with young stylists. |

Bonnie Swaby, Administrator
Bonnie has been part of the MC College team since 2009. She brings 13 years experience with her as a sought after stylist, colour specialist and salon educator. She has experience in competition and photo work and was a finalist for L'oreal Professionnel's Color Trophy in 2004. Bonnie moved from Toronto to Winnipeg in 2007 and pursued her passion for education, completing her Technical Vocational Teacher`s Diploma in 2009 and her Bachelor of Education Degree in 2011. While color and sculpting design are her expertise, technical precision and creative flare define all of her work. Bonnie`s continual pursuit for excellence is what drives her in educating, inspiring and motivating her students` to reach their full potential. |

Bridget Carrier, Esthetics Instructor
Bridget has more than 8 years experience in the Beauty Industry and has been part of the MC College team since 2010. Bridget is a fully licensed Esthetician specializing in Artificial Nails. Her product knowledge is extensive on products including; Keyano, LCN, Bernard Cassiere, Dermalogica, Star Nail System, France Laure Skincare, OPI and many more. She has attended numerous advanced workshops. Bridget has also owned her own spa business. She is currently she is enrolled in the Instructor Development Program at Red River College. |

Rebecca Peterson, Esthetics Instructor
Becky has been with the MC College Winnipeg team since 2011. She brings with her over eight years experience as a licensed Esthetician. Becky has a strong background in both academics and customer service. She has a great passion for skin care, waxing and proper spa sanitation techniques. Becky has attended numerous seminars on facial products as well as training in permanent nail polish. Becky’s love for the industry will only grow as she continues to teach future professionals. |

Megan Evans, Salon and Spa Coordinator
Megan has been with MC College since 2010 and is a Hairstylist with 4 years experience in the salon industry and a strong customer service background. Megan has attended several advanced classes for product knowledge. She uses her knowledge and customer service skills to help give students the best possible practical experience. |

Shauna Kluz, Admissions Advisor
Shauna has been a member of the MC College team since 2010. In her career before MC, she has worked as a team leader and support worker. She graduated with honor from the Make-up program with MC College and since then has worked as a freelance make-up artist. Shauna enjoys helping students make the right decisions on their way to becoming future professionals. She is passionate about community events and exposing students to the joys of assisting others. |

Eileen Chomik, Director
Eileen has been a member of the MC College team since its arrival in Winnipeg. She has extensive knowledge of MC operations as she has held the positions of Salon Coordinator, Admissions Advisor, Administrator, Assistant Director and now School Director. She brings with her more than 15 years experience in customer service and business. This extensive experience combined with her passion for\ the salon and spa industry, make her an excellent school administrator. |

Franca Scaletta, Fashion Design Instructor
Franca has had the pleasure of working within the fashion industry for more than 20 years. Her experience has been divided between Winnipeg and Toronto. A graduate of Ryerson Polytechnic University, her knowledge spans from textile printing to knitwear design, womenswear and menswear, marketing and fashion illustration. She has held a long-lived passion for ecological product development and local apparel production. Along with MC COLLEGE, Franca looks forward to growing Winnipeg's apparel industry into the future. |

Brenda Speirs-Fryatt, Fashion Design Instructor
Brenda is the Pattern Drafting and Apparel Production instructor. Brenda’s background includes a B of H.Ec., Certificate in Education, and Certificate in Vocational Education, as well as, over 20 years’ experience in teaching fashion technology courses. In addition, she occasionally works on TV and film productions as a costumer.
Her volunteer experience includes Skills Canada committee work at the provincial and national levels. She has also participated in World Skills as a trainer for Switzerland (competitor placed 4th in the world) official Canadian observer in Japan and as the host country Workshop Supervisor of the Fashion Technology Competition in both Canada and the United Kingdom.
Brenda is a member of The Canadian Executive Service Organization volunteering her expertise to assist in economic development projects. Her recent posting was in El Alto, Bolivia.
Brenda is currently the regional representative for the Apparel Affinity Group of Fashion College educators. |
