Mercedes Riveres, Esthetics Instructor
Mercedes has been in the Esthetics industry for over 12 years.  She was inspired to enter the industry by the women of El Salvador where she comes from.  Women in South America place great importance on skin care and use a variety of natural products to maintain their youthful appearance.  After graduating from Esthetics school in 2000, Mercedes went on to work in a number of high end spas where she was privileged to work with local celebrities.  She pays great attention to detail when performing services and instructing students.

Norma-Jean Checora, Esthetics Instructor
Norma-Jean has over 15 years experience in the Esthetics industry.  She also has four years experience teaching in the public system.  She has worked at high end salons and spas in the Edmonton area and has advanced training in acrylic and gel nails.  Norma-Jean believes that the future of the Esthetics industry is dependent on exceptional well rounded graduates.  She feels that the sharing of experience and knowledge is a gift that is rewarding to the instructor as well as the student.

Shannon Stourac, Esthetics Instructor
From a young age, Shannon knew that her love of nail polish and glittery eye shadows was not just a passing phase – it was a career calling.  After completing high school she quickly went to college to study Esthetics.  An MC College alumni, Shannon excelled at school and received an Academic Award and was class Valedictorian.  Shannon gained experience working in a prestigious downtown Edmonton spa where she was exposed to the medical side of the industry working with systems such as the Elos Syneron Laser and Canfield Imaging Systems Complexion Analysis.  Shannon is excited to be passing her experience and knowledge along to the MC students today.
